Selamat Pengantin Baru - Izwan and Iqtiyanim

Hari Sabtu yang lalu, kami sekeluarga attended my cousin's son's wedding at Galeri Shah Alam, Yayasan Seni Selangor. Menarik pulak buat wedding reception kat sini.... Tepi tasik dan saya suka sangat dengan the building architecture.

Rupa2 nya Yayasan Seni Selangor ini telah diilhamkan oleh D.Y.M.M Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah Alhaj Ibni Almarhum Sultan Salahuddin Abdul Aziz Shah Alhaj semasa baginda menjadi D.Y.T.M Raja Muda Selangor pada pertengahan tahun 1989.

"Tiga buah bangunan kayu yang terletak di Taman Tasik Shah Alam telah dikenalpasti untuk dijadikan galeri. Rekabentuk bangunannya yang banyak memaparkan seni ukir dan reka bentuk Melayu traditional amat bertepatan dengan objektif penubuhan Yayasan Seni Selangor. Pemilihan lokasi ini dirasakan amat ideal berdasarkan kedudukannya di tengah-tengah pusat Bandar Shah Alam, tambahan pula Taman Tasik Shah Alam merupakan pusat rekreasi yang amat popular di kalangan penduduk tempatan dan Lembah Klang khasnya."


So, tengahari tu kami sekeluarga attended the wedding reception. We were told, pengantin akan sampai pukul 1:30 ptg, menaiki boat... Oh something different, tak pernah pulak tengok pengantin datang naik boat...

Alamak lupa nak ambil gambar food... We were served nasi beriyani, ayam kurma, rendang, ayam masak merah, acar timun, papadom, fruits complete with sagu gula melaka, cendol, teh tarik dan cold drinks... not bad lah...

I was told that pihak penguruan Galeri Shah Alam arrange for the whole things, pelamin, food, canopies, inclusive the door gift for tetamu... Senang kan... tak payah bersusah payah nak menyediakan persiapan..... Tapi kalau buat tengahari agak menyeksakan bagi pengantin kot.... basah kuyup berpeluh....

Cuti Sekolah dah Habis????

Pagi ni kelam kabut betul... Hari pertama sekolah setelah cuti selama 2 minggu... Malasnys nak pergi kerja.... Setelah 2 minggu jalan lengang, kini kembali meredah jam...

Hari ni juga Afiqah started her practical tranining at ING Takaful... The office is located at Jalan Raja Chulan.... lubok jam tu... So she decided to car pool with me until KL sentral then take monorail until Chulan Station... Actually menumpang I lah hari2... Bagus jugak, tak payah lah dia nak drive ke city centre tu....



So, last friday, I took annual leave just nak tengok office ni, and how far it is from the station. Kami pun plan nak meronda KL... Adik and her best friend Sabrina pun nak ikut sama... Both of them seronok nak naik monorail ni.

Kami pun keluar pagi around 9am, hantar Abang tuisyen, then I drove to my office at Sentral. Parked my car at my office, then 4 of us walked to the monorail station. Jauh jugak monorail station ni from KL Sentral... We had to take staircase one level down and walked quite a distance along a narrow pathway (berdebu pulak tu, due to construction work), then cross the road to the monorail station. Berpeluh jugak lah di buat nya.

Penatlah tunggu train tak sampai2... Rehat kejap lah

Nasib baik tak ramai orang, boleh lah duduk... kalau tak berhimpit lah.....

Ha... dah sampai tempat yang di tuju... sempat lagi posing tu.....

Waiting for our train back to KL Sentral.... Panas lah pulak... Akak berdiri di depan kipas untuk menyejukkan badan... Sejuk tak Akak?????

Baskin Robbin

Dah lama tak update, dah bersawang....

Oh ya minggu lepas Aiman a.k.a Abang belanja kami sekeluarga di Baskin Robbin. Hujung tahun lepas Abang and Akak were betting.... Siapa kalah kena belanja the whole family makan ice cream di Baskin Robbin.... Abang kalah, so dia kena belanja kami... Adik, my hubby and I cuma menumpang jer lah... So selepas beberapa bulan (eh dah 1/2 tahun...) Abang pun belanja kami makan ice cream di Baskin Robbin at Taipan USJ. Baru cukup kumpul duit ke????

Sebelum makan ice cream, kami makan di Kayu Nasi Kandar dulu.... Ice cream ni jadi dessert kami lah malam tu.

Cupcakes ni I buat last two weekends. The intention buat just untuk makan sendiri untuk anak2... Then I found out that Ida (my niece) celebrated her  birthday on that weekend. So hantar lah sikit kat rumah my sister and kebetulan Ida pun ada di rumah... Memang rezeki Ida...

Janji Seorang Bapa

Inilah janji My Hubby dengan Aiman... Kalau Aiman dapat good result in his mid year exam, both of them will be watching the match. (Arsenal is Aiman's favorite football team...) Tapi kalau result tak bagus, my hubby will bring somebody else to the match... So Aiman... kenalah dapat result seperti yang di janjikan...



Taiwan Products Taken of Shelves

Ministry of Health has ordered the following food products to be taken of the shelves:

Uni-President with expiry date before 18 Mei 2012, manufactured by Uni-President Enterprises Corp, Taiwan

Sunkist Lemon Juice, Sunkist Lemon Juice Drink With Aloe Vera Pulp, Sunkist Orange dan Sunkist Orange Juice Drink, manufactured by Country House Inc, Taiwan.

These products were contaminated with excessive amount of plasticiser or the scientific name Bis(2-ethylhexyl) phthalate (DEHP). DEHP is used to reduce cost in manufacturing and to make the processed food more appealing.

The Ministry also said that they are monitoring other Taiwanese products such as jelly, juices, jam, etc.... But in Taiwan as reported on 28th May, a total of 155 food ingredient and end-product manufacturers, as well as 489 food products, could have been involved in the toxic plasticizer scandal, according to the Department of Health (DOH)'s latest report released on Saturday. Ini susah nak faham, di sini cuma monitor, tapi di Taiwan, they estimated hundreds of food products could have been contiminated with DEHP. Jadi untuk make sure that we are not effected with tis plasticizer, kita kenalah berhati hati.... Tak boleh beli tanpa meneliti isi kandungan terlebih dulu.



Happy Birthday Ida

Last Thursday, we celebrated Ida’s (my niece) birthday. We went to Chilis at Empire Gallery, Subang. Lagi pun dah lama sangat tak makan kat Chilis. Every time kami ke sana queue punya lah panjang, and we end up having dinner somewhere else.

Masa nak naik escalator to 1st floor, guess what? We met Anuar Zain!!!! Oh tidak….. Saya amat meminati lelaki ini….. Afiqah said hi to him and told him that I (the Umi) want to take Anuar’s picture… He is sooo polite and he said yes… I just took my girls’ photos with him… I tukang ambil gambar jer, tapi tak ambil gambar dengan dia pun…

Akak's Burger

Minggu lepas Afiqah a.k.a Akak bagitau nak buat burger for dinner. Happy lah sikit, balik kerja dinner dah siap, tak payah nak sibuk masak or fikir apa nak masak. She told me nak buat homemade.... Nak buat from scratch.. Lagi bagus.... Tapi di rumah saya tak ada mesin pengisar daging. So I told her just to buy minced meat from any hyper market.

So petang tu Afiqah and Qu (Afiqah's friend, dah macam my own daughter) sibuk di dapur. Bila sampai rumah, derang sibuk nak grill the burger, bun..... kecoh di dapur... Ada pulak additional dish derang masak... mash potato... Seronok tengok anak dara berdua ni masak....
