Selamat Pengantin Baru Aliza & Azahan

Aliza (my niece) and Azahan wedding ceremony and reception was held last weekend at Aliza's parent house in Johor Bahru. Aliza wished to have bag cake with Nike logo as cake "hantaran" and cupcakes with heart shape cake, and the wedding theme color was turquoise.

Since the wedding ceremony was on Friday nite, I left Shah Alam after lunch. I praying very hard for us to reach Aliza's house before the ceremony start. Luckily, we reach there before maghrib.

 The wedding reception was held on the next day. So after "majlis pernikahan" we went to the hotel. I have to decorate the wedding cake and cupcakes. Another sleepless night for me. I choose turquoise color as the base and decorated with white flowers, and pink and violet butterflies.

Handbag Cake

Yesterday I attended Hand Bag Cake Decorating class organised by Cupcakekasih. I made handbag cake before (please click here), however it was based on book and reading. I need to know the technique from the expert.

Keluar peluh dingin Jun semasa mengajar saya the technique membuat handbag cake ni... Saya ni pula "keras tangan". I guess due to age factor... So a bit slow..... Konon "a bit" or memang slow, hehehe.

I chose to have the handbag covered in candy colored fondant... Purple...

Lega bila melihat hasil kerja tangan..... Tidak sia2 saya menuntut ilmu dengan Jun.

Happy Birthday Mazy

On 22nd Feb, Mazy (my Boss's secretary) celebrated her birthday. She organised makan2 session during lunch time at the office. I told her that I will take care of the cake. It has been quite sometimes I am planning to make handbag cake. I search the internet, and saw soooo many handbag cakes... The cakes look like the real handbag.... Amazing...

I decided to proceed with my plan... I have to make the handbag cake... The result???? My first attempy in making handbag cake.......

Although this is my first attempt in decorating handbag cake, Mazy was happy with her cake... Nothing is more satisfying than the endorsement from the customer. It really makes my day....

Happy Birthday Hidayah

Selamat Hari Raya.....

Sudah agak lama saya tinggalkan laman blog ini, hampir sebulan... Cuti Hari Raya... dan sibuk dengan deadline kerja2 office. And one more reason, I misplaced the cable to upload photos from my camera... Only yesterday I found the cable tersorok in one of my bag.... So, only today I managed to upload the photos.

Coming back to the title of this blog, one of my niece, Hidayah celebrated her 25th birthday in August, however, we didn't managed to celebrate her birthday, as she is staying in Johor. So, my family decided to celebrate her birthday on the last day of Ramadhan when everybody (I mean everybody) is around... Yer lah semua orang balik kampung dan berkumpul di rumah ayah... Seronok bila adik beradik berkumpul, walaupun ahli keluarga kami tak lah ramai sangat, cuma 17 belas orang termasuk ayah dan cucu2 ayah .....

So selepas berbuka puasa dan solat maghrib on the last day of Ramadhan, kami pun celebrate her birthday, together with others who celebrated their birthday in September... Ramai lah pulak 'September's Babies", Selain dari Aiman (anak lelaki saya), Aril (abang Hidayah) dan Pak Ngah (abang ipar saya) pun celebrated their birthday in September... (Saya akan tulis tentang September babies ni in another entry).

Cupcakes bertemakan baju dan handbag saya siapkan untuk Hidayah. All these creations are inspired by cupcakekasih. Saya meminjam idea June from Cupcakekasih, dan saya amat meminati hasil kerja June.

Saya siapkan cupcakes ini sementara menunggu rendang kat dapur kering .. Masa tu agak sibuk, nasib baik kakak2 saya yang rajin memasak ada di rumah. Bab masak memasak tu saya serah kan to my 2 lovely sisters...

Untuk Hidayah, saya ucapkan Happy Birthday, semoga panjang umur, murah rezeki dan dapat naik pelamin tahun depan. I'll bake your wedding cake (kalau ada masa, hehehe....)
