Selamat Pengantin Baru Aliza & Azahan

Aliza (my niece) and Azahan wedding ceremony and reception was held last weekend at Aliza's parent house in Johor Bahru. Aliza wished to have bag cake with Nike logo as cake "hantaran" and cupcakes with heart shape cake, and the wedding theme color was turquoise.

Since the wedding ceremony was on Friday nite, I left Shah Alam after lunch. I praying very hard for us to reach Aliza's house before the ceremony start. Luckily, we reach there before maghrib.

 The wedding reception was held on the next day. So after "majlis pernikahan" we went to the hotel. I have to decorate the wedding cake and cupcakes. Another sleepless night for me. I choose turquoise color as the base and decorated with white flowers, and pink and violet butterflies.

Birthday, Birthday and Birthday

Birthday, birthday and birthday..... Ramai pula celebrated birthday in April, my eldest sister, my father, truly yours, Husna (Adik's best friend) and a few more friend and relatives.... Saya buat birthday cakes for them but not for myself.

Yesterday, staff at the office gave me a slice of carrot cake for my belated birthday cake. Ingat juga dia orang...

Carrot cake is my favorite. They bought it from The Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf. Sedaaaapppp. Thanks Arfa, Fadz, Mazy and Zainal.

I made this cake for Meera (Akak's friend). She ordered for her brother, Anuar, who was celebrating his 16th birthday last month. She told me that her brother is a bookworm and loves basketball. So I made book cake with basketball player figurines as the deco.

Princess cake ini saya buat untuk Husna (kawan baik Adik). Adik told me Husna loves green color, so, I decided to dress the Princess with green dress.

Last weekend my hubby invited his staff and office mates to our house for breakfast. I made mixed fruits trifle for the dessert. (The rest of the food, I ordered from a few places.) I baked the sponge vanilla cakes a day in advanced then I made the custard on the day I assembled the trifle. I din't use the readymix cake and custard. For me the homemade cake and custard taste better.

Blueberry Cake

I have been planning to bake blueberry cake. Last weekend, my sister in-law visited us, then I took this opportunity to bake this cake. I am using blueberry as the flavouring as it is tastier and taste better than the essence. I am trying my very best to use natural ingredients as flavouring ....

For vanilla cake, add seed from vanilla pods, for orange cake, add finely grated orange zest, for strawberry cake (the cake I baked last month) I added finely mesh strawberry and for this cake, I added finely mesh blueberry in the cake mix. And for the filling, I am using buttercream and blueberry jam. 

Anybody can make this cake, no sugarcraft techniques are required.... suitable for people like me... My sugarcraft techniques is very, very limited.... I need lots and lots of training to improve my skill further.... (Kena belajar banyak lagi dari sifu2 di Malaysia ni.... ).
