Golf Theme Cake

This golf theme cake is a special order from Kak Raihana for her daughter's engagement ceremony. Moist chocolate cake covered with buttercream, decorated with fondant golf bag, sugar paste flowers and royal icing grass.

Aliza (my niece) and Azahan wedding ceremony and reception was held last weekend at Aliza's parent house in Johor Bahru. Aliza wished to have bag cake with Nike logo as cake "hantaran" and cupcakes with heart shape cake, and the wedding theme color was turquoise.

Since the wedding ceremony was on Friday nite, I left Shah Alam after lunch. I praying very hard for us to reach Aliza's house before the ceremony start. Luckily, we reach there before maghrib.

 The wedding reception was held on the next day. So after "majlis pernikahan" we went to the hotel. I have to decorate the wedding cake and cupcakes. Another sleepless night for me. I choose turquoise color as the base and decorated with white flowers, and pink and violet butterflies.

I made these cuppies and cake for Zaidah. She gave these cakes for her friend's daughter wedding as cake hantaran. She wanted something similar to another cake hantaran I made for my friend, the only different is the color. She told me the wedding theme is golden color. Unfortunately, due to very short notice (she call me on monday and the wedding was on friday), I didn't manage to get similar bride and groom figurines. I hope the bride and her mother like the cakes.

Eh dah lama tak update blog. 2 minggu, lama tu...Lately ni agak busy, eh silap, memang busy. Every weekend tak ada kat rumah, banyak wedding reception kena attend. Kalau rumah tak kemas dlam masa 2 minggu, bersawang tu... Rasa2 blog ni pun dah bersawang....

Last weekend was really busy with my niece wedding reception. I baked both cakes, for hantaran and wedding cake. Alin chose the design of both cakes. The cake hantaran was inspired by Peggy Porschen's Valentine's Heart design.

The wedding cake for cake cutting ceremony was inspired by May Clee-Cadman's Shooting Star. But I improvised the design by adding roses as the topping. May Clee-Cadman original design really interesting especiall with the use of brooch on the cake.

The blue brooch matches Alin's wedding dress.

Selamat Pengantin Baru Hidayah & Nazri Part 1

10 April 2010 adalah tanggal keramat buat Hidayah (my niece) dan Nazri. Alhamdulillah, pada pagi sabtu yang lalu, Nazri selamat melafazkan ijab dengan sekali lafaz.... Legaaa...Itulah yang terpancar di wajah Nazri dan kaum keluarga...

Ini adalah cake hantaran dari Hidayah buat Nazri.... Mula2 saya nak buat deco bertemakan warna putih... Suci.... tapi my hubby said, nampak macam plain sangat....So, saya tukar cupcake cover from white to slightly greenish color.....Saya rasa kali ni tak ceria lah pulak cupcakes yang  saya buat ini... Akak kata masa saya buat cake tu mesti mood saya tak ceria. Sebab tu cupcake kurang ceria... Memang fikiran agak bercelaru masa tu.... Banyak kerja kat ofis yang tak selesai.

Ini pula wedding cupcake for Hidayah and Nazri.... Yellow roses with green background. Hidayah memilih hijau sebagai tema majlis perkahwinan ini. So I have to choose colors which are suitable with green. Fikir punya fikir, akhirnya saya memilih yellow roses as the cake topper.
